Sunday's 10:30 Mass is animated by the lively Folk Choir under the
direction of Jacinta McPartland. The choir has been in existence for many
years but it has been under Jacinta's direction since the fall of 2002.This mass
is particularly well attended by those with young families because the
"Children's Liturgy of the Word" is available to children aged 4 to 10. The
members of the choir see themselves as joint ministers who wish to support
full musical participation of the congregation (“he who sings, prays twice”).
Music has a unique way of adding to the spiritual dimension of the mass as
well as community spirit by uniting voices in song and praise! We welcome
anyone who has musical ability such as a good singing voice and/or the ability
to play an instrument. We are looking in particular for someone with the ability
to play bass guitar or perhaps flute but good strong voices are always welcome
Practice begins at 7:15 PM and as a rule it is on Wednesday evenings in the
church. We also try to keep the practice down to no more than one hour. If
you are interested in joining, please feel free to speak to Jacinta after mass or
